Ulysse Nardin turned to wristwatches at the start of the 20th century. After the Second World War, Ulysse Nardin began to concentrate in slim automatic wristwatches, and the range of watches was extended in all direction the following years.
The astounding Ulysse Nardin's Astrolabium in 1985, it was, once again, spearheading the renaissance of mechanical watches after the quartz revolution. For collectors, Ulysse Nardin's piece de resistance is without doubt the Planetarium Copernicus. Presented at the planetarium in Lucerne in 1988, it is the first watch in the world to display the entire solar system with the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
